How did you get into the Hair Industry?
I have always played with hair, even when I shouldn't have; experimenting on anyone who would let me. I was never able to produce the results I wanted as a teenager. This led to the decision to go to cosmetology school to provide me with the tools needed to correctly process hair as a professional.
What do you enjoy most about your career?
I love seeing the familiar faces of my loyal clientele and being able to build a relationship that goes beyond just great hair! I also look forward to inspiring the next generation of Skullz Stylists through our education venue and salon apprenticeship program!
Opening Skullz Salon gave me the opportunity to create an educationally based environment for stylists and clients that is rooted in individual creativity. I have worked in many salons that were absentee owned and never challenged me as a professional. I have surrounded myself with a small group of stylists and staff that are building careers, not jobs.
